A professor at Glasgow uni has a 17 year-old foster daughter called Rima.
Rima is an unaccompanied minor from Eritrea who suffered seriously from abuse and neglect in Italy while fleeing persecution.
Following a ruling from the Court of Appeal, finding Italy to be a 'safe country' she is facing deportation.

We now urgently need help again to try and stop Rima being deported to Italy.
There is need for a substantial letter campaign for clemency and for her right to remain in the UK.
"We believe:
We ask that Rima be released from fear and give the right to live with Robert & Alison for as long as conditions in Eritrea require it."

"We believe:
- That Rima has suffered enought trauma, and that to repeat it now is barbaric.
- That there is very good evidence that Rima is under 18, and that the burden of proof on her is unreasonable in the circumstances
- That Rima, Robert & Alison have formed close family and emotional bonds which should be respected
We ask that Rima be released from fear and give the right to live with Robert & Alison for as long as conditions in Eritrea require it."
